Whatever Could Have Happened Since November to Make Americans Lose Confidence in the Economy?

U.S. consumer confidence dipped for the second consecutive month in January, a business research group said Tuesday.

The Conference Board reported that its consumer confidence index retreated this month to 104.1, from 109.5 in December. That is worse than the economist projections for a reading of 105.8.

Thought it was suposed to be rainbows, free gas and cheap eggs from here on out. Or that's what the MAGA Moron-in-Chief was promising.

Its because bullshit does not pay up at the cash register. And most
people understand if tariffs happen we pay more, is also a negative.
Bird flu has also caused bumps in the supply of chickens, eggs and
products that use them.

Tax changes for the rich will mean more tax and less spendable
cash as the proposed balancing taxes for the 95% will mean
more taxes paid.

Sort of a general comment; All the chaos and bullshit T**** is doing made me think of Woody Guthrie's song "Deportee (Plane Wreck at Los Gatos)," which addresses the tragic plane crash in 1948 that killed 32 people, including many Mexican migrant workers. The song highlights the lack of recognition for the victims, who were referred to simply as "deportees" in the media, emphasizing themes of injustice and the plight of migrants.

Looks like we'll be paying millions, no, billions more in taxes and lost production to make migrants into "deportees" again. Hopefully no planes crash this time.
