D-Day +75; Belleau Wood +101

This will probably be the last commemoration where a fair number of the active participants will be in attendance.

In 1918, two Marine battalions joined the Battle of Belleau Wood . The Marine began the battle with the battle cry of SFC Daly, who yelled: "For Christ's sake men—come on! Do you want to live forever?"

The last Marine veteran of the battle, Gene Lee, died fifteen years ago.
