I'm old enough to have ridden rail to Pewaukee before Amtrak. We were visiting my grandmother's dairy farm that she grew up on. They still had hogs the first time we visited. After the second time we had to drive there.
...and I flew Connies from Louisville to Pittsburgh and then a DC-3, bumpity-bumpity, over the Pennsylvania mountains to McKean Regional to spend the summer as a sprout in Bradford at my grandmother's.
The old order passeth, dunno that I like the new that much...
