C-5 at Oshkosh this year:
A Short Explanation

A blog by a "sucker" and a "loser" who served her country in the Navy.
If you're one of the Covidiots who believe that COVID-19 is "just the flu",
that the 2020 election was stolen, or
especially if you supported the 1/6/21 insurrection,
leave now.
Slava Ukraini!

It's amazing how quiet C-5's are now with the new engines. Just flying overhead was enough to make your ears bleed.
it was 30+ years ago I stood in about the same spot and a Concorde rolled by. Cover your ears and it was still loud and made a body literally vibrate.
The afterburners were impressive. To date everything else is quiet compared to it.
Eck!
The local yokels mostly arrange to be out of town during the EAA
Yep, definitely quieter with the new motors!
