When Trump was pleading for money from his vast army of supporters, he got it. But he set it up as a way to, in essence, rob them all blind. What he did was bury, deep in the online donation form, a provision that any donation was a weekly recurring payment. Most of the people who gave money to Trump didn't know that. There were two separate boxes that a donor would have to find and deselect to prevent Trump from taking money from them.
In short, Trump conned his own supporters.
I suppose that I should feel some degree of sympathy for them. But, no. They gave money to a known grifter. Is it any surprise that Trump figured out a way to scam his own people?

And it couldn't happen to a finer bunch, bless their tiny little hearts. So none of trump's treason weasel cultists ever heard of trump grifts such ad trump steaks, trump 'university', trump water, trump tower? It's like his chosen victims all live off the grid in East Bumfuck Mississippi and watch only Fox or something. Besides, they didn't particularly want anything from trump except cruelty and Owing the Libtards and they got their money's worth on that. Be happy, little traitors.
If your that loyal to Drumpf then impoverished and trumpster should be you first
and middle names.
Scamming their own and they are not outraged enmass sends a signal.
So here is your special sign: STUPID!

The human need for something bigger than oneself is both a bug and a feature, depending on where you’re coming from.
I understand he has to pay back a chunk of what he stole from them. I wonder if they will ever see a penny of it?
Isn't this kind of scam illegal? I would suspect if not, there may be some new laws to come.
And people that should now hate him will still cover for him I am sure.
A crook, first, last, and always.
He's got to go.

There are EULAs, End User License Agreements, that you end up having to sign in order to install/use new software.
Now there are SDAs, Sucker Defrauding Agreements to make everything legal when you get robbed of your left nut, lights and guts. No crime here, no sir, you signed up for Total Organ Donation.
Franklin: Experience is a dear [expensive] school, but fools will learn at no other.
WC Fields: It's morally wrong to give a sucker an even break.
Welcome to Trump University where you get schooled.
"And every day we love him more" my in-laws and bro and sisters in law...heh heh heh
This one of many reasons I refer to Trump supporters as Chumpanzees...
When I first heard that he was running for president, my immediate reaction was:
"Holy shit, this means that a lot of people are going to send their money to Donald the fuck Trump."
And they did.
And at first it was hilarious.
But like everything else about him, it didn't stay amusing long.

The Trump campaign is not the first to use this kind of trick. A few years ago a car magazine I subscribe to sent me an offer for a free wall plaque. You only had to pay shipping with your credit card. When I went to there website there was a disclaimer that was very faint and light gray-toned telling you that you also were joining their club with access to their website for almost a hundred dollars a year. I have heard that a lot of the free offers on TV for things like testosterone boosting vitamins and the like will put you on an automatic shipping schedule for more pills and it's hard to get off of it. If you don't look over your credit card bill line by line you might not notice the fees.
After thinking a bit my comment wasn't in defense of T****p as in "other people do the same thing" but in noting it wasn't an original scam.
For the numbers about 122Million in 530,000 refunds.
A large number were post election and they are still doing that.
Some of that resulting in amounts that exceed Federal election
donation levels.
The company WinRed is for profit and collects 30% off the top,
and is in use by most of the republican candidates including
Loffler and Purdue Who are also making refunds.
This is fleece them while they are hot.

Please 86 GF (Ted Cruz) and lock the door to Canada. (Har, har, har?)
Tod, while I can't close the electronic border to the Morally and Intellectually Bankrupt Canadien Incel, we can swing the Ban Hammer after he posts something.
With all the heavy guns out swingin': *, double-aught, filth; must be something big goin' on that requires all that artillery to distract from. I wonder if it has anything to do with the 80+% popularity out there in the public of President Joe's policies? Only the trolls and the retard(ing progress politician)s ~ but I repeat myself ~ don't like it.
I read that 3% of all credit card fraud cases in 2020 were the Fergus campaign, which did have to pay much of the money back, making it a timely interest-free short term loan.
