It’s Possible To Be Too Inclusive

A blog by a "sucker" and a "loser" who served her country in the Navy.
If you're one of the Covidiots who believe that COVID-19 is "just the flu",
that the 2020 election was stolen, or
especially if you supported the 1/6/21 insurrection,
leave now.

This is Donald of Orange's Reichtag moment.
I understand that you hate Trump. Many do. And I even understand the Trump's reason for not going to Vietnam was because of his tremendous wealth. That is not actually that much of a revelation. The disconnect I find is in the lack of hatred for President Obama, who instead of serving in the military, spent his time smoking dope and hanging out with his friends who tended to be sort of the unsavory type.
Even Hillary Clinton, the heir apparent to Obama, who was a young lawyer who was helping to bring a crooked Dick to justice, was kicked off the team for bad behavior, or something like that.
Bob Dole, a true war hero, I mean, a honest to gosh hero, who did not play up his status as a wounded vet, but ran for president on his own merits, was defeated by a person who was certainly not a war hero, but had been accused of being a draft dodger. It really doesn't matter if he was or not, but it would be nice if we applied the same standards. http://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/1996/candidates/democrat/clinton/skeletons/draft.shtml
Obama was born in 1961. He was less than twelve years old when the draft ended.
If you cannot discern the difference between not volunteering for the service during peacetime and actively dodging the draft during wartime, then what is there to discuss?
Republicans were more than eager to brand Bill Clinton as a draft-dodger, but they seem awfully tolerant of the draft-dodgers in their own party (Trump, Cheney, Bush-II, Romney, Ashcroft, among others). Cheney had "other priorities" than serving his country during wartime, but he had no qualms about sending thousands of young Americans to die in his wars of aggression.
Thanks for your comments Comrade Misfit.
I enlisted in the Army in 1969 solely because I was going to be drafted shortly. Trump was like many, many in those days and avoided the draft. But with a difference!! Trump's daddy got a doctor (who rented in one of his buildings) to write a letter stating that Trump Jr had painful bone spurs in return for special favors.
As a Vietnam veteran, I wouldn't want to serve in combat next to Trump. From his behavior as President, One can see he's a bully and a coward.

To quote from a post last Fall: One can almost hear the clink of a grenade's spoon in the night.
Donnie’s number was 356, he’d never have been drafted under that format...of course, that came after they bought 4-F status.
