Needs More Rotation Notation

Was that as close to being a crash as I think it might have been? Had the rotor hit the trunk at the top, would said rotor have remained intact enough to at least land safely?
I witnessed a "Mash (TV)" style copter set down in a hurry, out in the woods. His rotor blades clipped a 3 inch diam. redwood tree sapling on the way down and it only left a small crumpled spot in his blade.
I also did see a video of a drone going toe to toe with a large Hornet hive. I bet that thing had bite and sting marks in the plastic afterwards.

I doubt the blade(s) would survive an impact with that thick a trunk. The Huey’s double main blade was pretty beefy, and could chop through some foliage, but that’s scary looking with those wimpy little blades. I’m just wondering who thought that was a good idea?
Hoo boy, that was CLOSE! Whoever was clearing the left side didn't do their jobs!
