"I'll do unto you, like you did unto me."
The Senate will remain as dysfunctional as it was, the House will remain as batshit crazy as it has been. Only now, President Obama will start vetoing shit.

If you're one of the Covidiots who believe that COVID-19 is "just the flu",
that the 2020 election was stolen, or
especially if you supported the 1/6/21 insurrection,
leave now.

OK by me, because that means Congress will be sending him stuff to veto. Some of that may have the veto overridden, all of it goes on the record for 2016 prep.
I am officially going to ignore 2016 as long as I can, because the idea of an election between Bush III and Clinton II will cause me to start drinking heavily.
I agree. Maybe there should be some kind of law about family members running for office. I'm getting tired of the Kennedy, Bush and Clinton dynasties.
Dynastic politics is one thing, but what does it say about a party who, for 28 years, can only find electable candidates within one Connecticut family?
Can't we have a campaign on issues and record instead of the Because Holy War stuff? The answer being no, because fear and hate and greed are such potent motivators with people that can't be bothered (or have the brains) to be and be demanding to be informed. Nah, we don't civics in the schools any more.
Besides the GOP did such a successful scam in nailing the fire house door closed, RIF'ing the FD and then blaming the Democrats for America's house burning down, why should they change? Now McConell, that walking toxic waste site violation, has gone all statesmanlike and says he hopes that the Dems will be willing to work in a constructive bipartisan fashion with the new right-wing Senate majority. Pardon me, Mitch, while all of us on the Left remove the knives in our backs.
+1 on Alien!
I'm just going to warm up the popcorn popper. There will be a LOT of infighting in the House and Senate GOP, and between the two Houses. It will be ugly, but I think there won't be much done over the next two years due to this dynamic. Plus, we may get people to see who is willing to govern, and who just wants power. Ok, that last part is just a fantasy...

And here I'm remembering how in `08, the Republicans kept proclaiming that George Bush wasn't on the ballot, so what he did and didn't do wasn't an issue.
Silly me for expecting any consistency from politicians.
