These are probably stupid questions, but:
What types of planes are those? Are they any good?

Why is there a hill in the middle of that runway?
Anon, those are BAe Hawks. Yesterday's news as a combat airplane, but still quite good as an advanced trainer, and a lot cheaper to fly than the stuff the Blue Angels/Thunderbirds fly.
Lots of runways aren't exactly flat. The airplanes are BAe Hawks, the RAF's avanced jet trainer.
