Cheetolini Channels His Inner Fascist

President* Trump in a new interview suggested that his supporters are tougher than Democrats, and that if they actually play tough things could get "very bad."

Trump made the comments in the context of an interview with the conservative outlet Breitbart in which he argued that Democrats play a tough political game.

“You know, the left plays a tougher game, it’s very funny," Trump said in the interview with Breitbart published on Wednesday. "I actually think that the people on the right are tougher, but they don’t play it tougher."

"I can tell you I have the support of the police, the support of the military, the support of the Bikers for Trump – I have the tough people, but they don’t play it tough — until they go to a certain point, and then it would be very bad, very bad," Trump said.
I suspect that Trump may find out that there are people across the services that take their oath of office far more seriously than does El Caudillo de Mar-a-Lago.

Trump is proving the wisdom of the Founding Fathers in writing the Second Amendment into the Constitution as a counterweight to tyranny. For we now have a president who has intimated that he would not recognize losing the 2020 election.

Keep your powder dry, people. Shit could get very real in about 20 months.

I keep hearing right wingers say things that basically amount to "we have all of the guns" and I keep having to tell them that I'm as liberal as they get, and live in what's arguably the most liberal district in the country, and I and everyone I know are well armed and know how to shoot and properly handle a firearm.

Also, I grew up around bikers (my brother was one) and I've never met one who supported Fergus, and most of the ones I still talk to would kick his ass if they could get away with it.

He sounds terrified, which is dangerous as all hell in a narcissist in general, but far more so in a narcissist who holds any authority.

So, election happens and Donnie declares he ain’t leaving. At noon, on Wed, Jan 20, 2021, Donnie would no longer be President unless the Congress has ratified an Electoral College vote for him, and the question becomes...

Under the 12th Amendment, the Vice-President takes over...but Pence’s term is over, and he is no longer VP. So the 20th addresses that by saying Congress shall take action, but at no point does it require the installation of the Speaker of the House in this event, just that Congress shall act.

The wildcard in all this is the United States military. All the extreme right-wing and/or left-wing types masturbating over their “black guns” and overthrowing a tyranical Government don’t really mean shit if the GIs, Zoomies, Tars and Jarheads are all behind one side. The question becomes, which side do they pick? And before you say, the winner of the election, the U.S. has flirted with a military coup before, and what if the winner isn’t truly clear (thanks, Vlad)?

I’ve read many right slanting blogs (probably the same ones as you, Doug) and I agree that many of the posters and comments boast about how many weapons they have and how proficient they are with them. I think they seem to discount the urban gun owners that also have guns. And the fact that, in terms of density, there are more weapons in the cities than in the rural areas. Add in that most people only have two hands, the most weapons they could use are two hand guns or one rifle. That kind of defeats the premise of having the arsenal of guns.

It it’s not just urban vs rural either. It really about right vs left. I know of many folks, some in my own family, that are in the city and lean right. I also have family and friends in the rural thumb area that lean left. But all of them abide by the rule of law and have their weapons for self protection/preservation. I feel (and hope) that the righties that are posting and boasting about armed conflict are in a very small minority. Those would probably the first to act and get the attention of the civil authorities.

CP88, I can tell you that back in the day, the military took the "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States" part of their oath very seriously.

Things may have changed, what with a convoy of Seals flying the Trump flag.

Odd there, D...

I know and hang with a bunch of midwest bikers. Not "HOG" folks, REAL bikers. and not a one is Liberal, and yes, they all are Trump supporters, if only by default.
Where are you meeting all these liberal bikers?

And I have yet to find a great percentage of Liberals who know how to shoot, nor are there a great number of shooters who are Liberal. Perhaps the area you are in is different than the Midwest, Southeast and South and Southwest.

Not that most shooting or Conservative folks would support a demonstrably unconstitutional president, mind you. But don't tell me the majority of Liberals and/or City dwellers have the means and the knowledge to fight back if things went Civil War. Some, perhaps, but not the majority or even a large percentage.
(Note: I'm not claiming that my sample is statistically significant nor valid...having said that, neither can I reconcile your claim with observed reality)

Having said that, no one that I know wants to see a Civil War of any kind. Most everyone would prefer other methods of change....Most realize the damage that would do to our country. Most would just prefer that the Liberals who want change would leave them alone.

I find it amusing that the CNN story conveniently forgets all the DNC attempts to subvert our election processes over the years.

Cue B. and "whataboutism".

FYI, B., here in Texas the biker crowd is only about 70/30 behind Donnie. As for shooting and owning "Liberals". I know twice as many AR-15 owning D voters as R voters. Now, that percentage won't follow across the area, but you are seriously underestimating the armed Left.

Comrade, I agree, in principle, but am concerned those beliefs may have been diluted. On the whole, I see us slipping into a new post-Nam era without the "baby-killer" shit. A massive, PTSD tramatized corp of Vet's who self-medicate and self-counsel. A group that looks for things to do like go patrol the border because it reminds them of the good comradary of enlistment without the horrors, getting hammered with their buddies and trying to forget it all again, and then back to a world they no longer fit into.

"Where are you meeting all these liberal bikers?"

Oakland, California, home of the East Bay Dragons, one of the oldest still operational black motorcycle clubs in the US. I read that Barger supported Fergus' candidacy, but I know for a fact that the president of the Oakland chapter of the Angels did not.

The Angels here in the greater Chicago area were not terribly pro Trump, but are terribly anti anyone associated with the DNC....as are all the associated smaller clubs.

I still would like to see (I might be wrong, after all) some real data correlating gun ownership vs political leanings.

CenterPuke88 said...

There are a number of studies on this, and most show Republican household gun ownership at about the 1.7-2.1 times that of Democrats, with Independents owning at a rate of about 1.4-1.6 that of Democrats. The inherent problem with that number is that is masks some realties, such as the fact an African-American household is half as likely as a White, non-Hispanic household to own a gun(s). Once you correct for the political imbalance of the groups, the ownership percentages seem to normalize within about 20%.

The question not well answered in studies is that of “protector”, “hunter”, “enthusiast”, “Consititutionalist”, “play soldier”, “criminal” and other such forms of ownership. The vast majority of the loud and active open carry supporters around here seem to be less than well versed in proper carry and safety of the weapons that seem to like to wave around. It’s the quiet ones that it seems are most likely to know what the hell they are doing, and they seem to have left these conversations, not wanting to be associated with these morons. As such, it is very difficult to ascribe accurate numbers to who has what and what they favor.

Most bikers around here in the Central Valley are middle-aged men and women with careers. They aren’t going to risk it all for Cheetolini.

Doug- Just sayin'; I work with a Dragon. I don't see many of them on the road.

This bragging about who owns what and can do what seems to be a little or a lot of foolishness. Learned a lesson many years ago when I was a car enthusiast, When getting set to race the question came up what do you have under the hood. A friend simply said only way to find out is to race, applies to fighting as well, talk is cheap. A lot of times it is to cover your fear, so who has what is a silly topic, performance is what will count in the end.

B said...

Owning a firearm does not equate to being proficient in it's use, nor having the training to do more than punch holes in paper at a range.

This applies all across the board, to all the above referenced groups. There are a LOT of gun owners who own, but never (or seldom) practice.

And having a pistol in a city is not the same thing as having (and knowing how to use) a rifle in the country. Especially if it comes to actual armed conflict. Drive-Bys not withstanding.

Do we have any actual numbers rather than percentages of armed households? I don't.

I sincerely hope we, as a country, never find out which of us is correct here. I mean that.

CenterPuke88 said...

Given the minority heavy nature of the military, I would expect pretty decent proficiency in some of those urban areas.

B, Fox News is not your friend.

CP: You may have a point there. Not all military knows beyond basic firearms though. Not saying you are wrong either.

DA: you are starting to sound like a broken record. Is there a point in that statement you keep making?

dinthebeast said...

"I don't see many of them on the road."

Me either, or really many bikers at all. We have a plethora of clubs operating here, and there still aren't that many bikers riding around.
They seem to be aging out, dying off, and these days the lifestyle of an outlaw just isn't the draw it used to be.

And I can't say I'm surprised or even unhappy about that. My brother was a biker, and he might still be around had he taken up a different way of living.
Nobody was twisting his arm, and he fit the role well, but hard living and methamphetamine use will take a toll on your body while you are enjoying the exercise of your freedom.

Also, Harleys suck. They were OK for a base to modify from back in the sixties, but motorcycles have gotten so much better since then that I can't see risking your skin out there on one. I have a friend who just got into the Dragons, and he spent $35K on his Harley, much to the amusement of his dealer who rides a second-hand R1 he bought at auction after its original owner crashed it and was too scared of it to ride it any more.

"I sincerely hope we, as a country, never find out which of us is correct here. I mean that."

Amen, B, let's maybe avoid the madness if we can.

Repetition of an important message, B. The only reason it puzzles you is that you’re not used to that from anyone not on Fox News or speaking for the President.

B said...

The sad part is that I don't have cable, and can't watch Fox news.

But that small bit of info that you didn't know probably doesn't fit your preconceived notions, does it?

Perhaps you should realize that some folks just disagree with you and stop repeating such stupid memes that you heard somewhere else. Take your own advice and think for yourself.

LOCK WARNING!

People are starting to engage in snide personal attacks upon one another.

If you can't make your argument without doing that, then STFU. There are plenty of other places to engage in such conduct. This is not one of them.

So, if you keep it up, I'll lock out all future comments.

Comprenez-vous cela ?

You’re the one questioning my intelligence, in an earlier post. Hurts when the shoe is on the other foot.

If you have access to a computer, you do have access Fox News. And whether you watch it or not, much of the stuff you post here could’ve come right from there.
