Back in the seventies when my dad and my brother and I started reloading shotgun ammo for our 10 gauge because it was so frightfully expensive, we did pattern testing for the loads and found that too much powder would give you the donut shaped pattern they discussed in the video, which is really bad for hunting geese... Contrary to what some folks would believe, you do have to aim a shotgun just like any other gun, and even in a dense flock of birds, if you don't have a good bead on one bird, you won't hit any of them.
