Shit Republicans Are Blind To; All Roads Lead to Putin Ed.

Trump is Putin's lapdog and the GOP just doesn't care.
After meeting privately in July 2017 with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Group of 20 summit in Hamburg, Trump grew more insistent that Ukraine worked to defeat him, according to multiple former officials familiar with his assertions.

The president’s intense resistance to the assessment of U.S. intelligence agencies that Russia systematically interfered in the 2016 campaign — and the blame he cast instead on a rival country — led many of his advisers to think that Putin himself helped spur the idea of Ukraine’s culpability, said the officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe internal discussions.

One former senior White House official said Trump even stated so explicitly at one point, saying he knew Ukraine was the real culprit because “Putin told me.”
It doesn't matter to the GOP that, because of their slavish fealty to Trump, that they are parroting Russian disinformation.

There was a time in this country that spewing Russian propaganda would get a person ostracized, if not imprisoned. But now, Russian propaganda is a central tenet of a party that once prided itself on being patriotic.

And if you have bought Putin's lies because Trump is mouthing them, then shame on you.

I wonder if the reason they don't care is because it's not true? Gee, ya think...?

Obviously he needs to be impeached and carted off to prison, and a proper president put in place. Preferably one like our esteemed blog hostess - a hysterical purple faced rage head!

CW compares and contrasts the Donks available for your consideration!!! ;)

As the deplorables tee shirt read, "I’d Rather Be a Russian Than a Democrat”.
Verified by Snopes, the shirts were sported by two trumpites at the trump Cleveland tiki torch Nuremburg rally. Cleveland dot com reported "...that the two men decided to attend the rally because they had never seen a U.S. president in person."

"Alicie and Birchfield [the treason shirt-wearing mouth breathers] "offered some advice for Democrats:

"The two friends from the city of Delaware said they came out to the rally because they’ve never seen a president in person before. Asked about their shirts, Alicie (left) said he didn’t understand why Trump is getting so much criticism about Russia when Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama weren’t similarly scrutinized. Asked what he would tell Democrats, Alicie said, “To jump on board this train and give him a chance.”

"Although some viewers may have been shocked to see the phrase “I’d Rather Be a Russian Than a Democrat” on a t-shirt at a rally for the president of the United States, this slogan can be found on a variety of products offered for sale by several different retailers..."... per Snopes.
So trump's treason shirts could be popular with trump's cultists. This from the GOP always trumpeting their patriotism.

Gotta give the old KGB officer credit for political savvy: he figured out that he could win the support of the bigots and imbeciles in the GOP, who had hated the USSR above all else for half a century, by painting Russia as white and Christian.

Nice to know that on the Right, being patriotic is a commodity that can be purchased for a song. The Christian Taliban is the worst at it; they sold their morality for a song to Trump. As long as they get to discriminate against those damned queers, they'll tolerate a serial adulterer and whoremonger as president.

Glen Filthie said...

As CW demonstrated, Comrade - the queers are the best of a very bad bunch!

For the Donks to be viable they have to face facts. They cannot win on vibrancy and diversity. It's tearing them apart. Uppity nasty women only play well to other uppity nasty women - and possibly their spaghetti-armed soyboys and manginas. Of the women running on their vaginas - only Tulsi comes anywhere near sounding competent and sane - but the Donks threw her under the bus. Biden is unelectable because he's senile and ailing; and Warren... she's just a stupider version of Cankles Clinton. Speaking as an ignernt, kadiddle hopping Trumped Christian rube... your best bet in the upcoming election so far is the butt blaster. Errr… good luck with that.

Were I them, I'd throw out the current lot of contestants en masse and try and find somebody in the party that actually gives a hoot about the working Americans that actually make the country run. But whadda I know? I'm just an old white nigger that doesn't know nothin'!

Merry Christmas, Comrade - and God bless! :)

Y'know, Glenn, I'm pretty much in opposition to most of the commentors here, and often disagree with the Hostess.

But if you can't be polite and respectful to her, perhaps you should find somewhere else to spew your hatred.

Ms Misfit: You statement is all supposition, not facts, and is based on simple ahtred of Trump. "There was a time in this country that spewing Russian propaganda would get a person ostracized, if not imprisoned. But now, Russian propaganda is a central tenet of a party that once prided itself on being patriotic." There was also a time where Socialists were considered as traitors, and treated accordingly. But I don't see any "russian Propaganda" or "Disinformation" except as imagined by yourself and your followers here. Please provide more than just opinion and innuendo based on unreasoned hatred.

Yes, B, we’ve already established that we don’t need Socialist institutions such as the military, the postal service, or even public roads.

B said...

CP: Did you even read the articles you posted?

Seriously? "Cmon, you can do better than that.

And "unknown": I LOVE how you folks claim the Military, roads Postal service and such are "socialist institutions"...YOU(might) make a case for the military, since it is all of us that pay for it (the 47% or so of us that pay taxes of any kind, anyway), but roads are paid for with fuel taxes and the postal service is (mostly) funded by postal charges (and it is SUPPOSED to be funded fully by postage). Not the same thing as Socialism. For an example of that, see the Health Care system (Obamacare). You seem intelligent, you should be able to find real examples of socialism and discriminate them from the examples you used above. (Unless you are deliberately trying to muddy the waters (or lie))
Nice try, but fail.

B: The third largest presence on YouTube, after Disney and Time Warner is a Russian outfit calling itself The Soul. They mostly push clickbait content now, but are beginning to slide into political and nationalistic content in preparation for next year's election.

And fucking Facebook just took down 600 fake accounts with AI generated identities claiming to be Americans, most of which originated in Vietnam and most of which were pushing pro-Trump conspiracies. They were linked to a similar group already run off from Facebook calling themselves the Epoch Times.

The 600 accounts had 44 million followers between them and had bought millions of dollars worth of ads.

https://money.howstuffworks.com/only-53-percent-pay-income-tax.htm

“ That said, why don't 49 percent of Americans owe any federal income tax on April 15th? There are two main reasons: income level and tax benefits. The tax system in the United States is designed to be progressive, meaning that higher incomes are asked to pay a larger percentage in taxes. If your income level is relatively low, standard deductions and exemptions can quickly lower your tax burden to zero.

Roughly half of Americans who pay no federal income tax do so because they simply don't earn enough money. The other half doesn't pay taxes because of special provisions in the tax code that benefit certain taxpayers, notably the elderly and working families with children. For example, the tax code excludes a portion of Social Security income and gives larger standard deductions and tax credits to the elderly. And many working families with children qualify for both the child credit and the earned income tax credit. Together, the elderly and working families with children account for 74 percent of all nontaxable households that aren't excluded by income level alone [source: Williams].

So who are the 49 percent of Americans who don't pay income taxes? The vast majority are the lowest income households, the elderly and young working families with children.“

Sounds like a bunch of spongers to me, B. To quote Ebenezer Scrooge, “Are there no workhouses?”

And lastly, everyone pays taxes. Unless you live on an island that isn’t in American jurisdiction, you pay taxes, one way or another, when you buy things or rent property, unless the latter is owned by a non-profit organization.

Can you show me the portion or the local roads paid for by your taxes, B?

"But if you can't be polite and respectful to her, perhaps you should find somewhere else to spew your hatred."
------------------

I should be civil, like you, I suppose? B, I AM the picture of civility and restraint. Our charming hostess is either deliberately or inadvertently lying through her teeth about a legally elected president. All that stands between her and the truth is a brief trip to the computer. Instead, she and her fellow leftists are making a mockery of themselves - which they are free to do - but also of the nation's laws, processes, rights, and freedoms - which they are not. Constitutionally, Americans are allowed to resist people with everything they have - right up to and including violence. Fortunately for her and conservative cucks, that hasn't happened yet. But it's coming.

Fact is, you haven't seen incivility yet. At the rate you are going though - you will, and soon. It won't go well for you either.

Just sayin'.
