Occupy Wall Street: The Best Cops That Money Can Buy

And Chase Bank has bought the NYPD:
JPMorgan Chase recently donated an unprecedented $4.6 million to the New York City Police Foundation. The gift was the largest in the history of the foundation and will enable the New York City Police Department to strengthen security in the Big Apple. ... New York City Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly sent CEO and Chairman Jamie Dimon a note expressing "profound gratitude" for the company's donation.
You can bet your sweet ass that when Jamie Dimon calls the Commissioner's office to complain about something, that the Commish is going to personally take his call.

Fixer's question is a good one. The answer is that by paying protection money making a large donation to the NYPD, JPMorgan Chase has avoided all of the possible problems of hiring their own goon squad. This particular cabal of banksters won't be liable if the NYPD gets a little energetic with their clubs.

Seems like a waste of money. The cops were doing their bidding anyway.

Unless they want the cops to change what they're doing, that is.

It's nice to not live there.

I'd like to see the cops start swinging batons at some of our war vets who are out there protesting.

Thanks for the linkage. :)

Several bloggers I follow have expressed strong views on the subject. This article from the Oathkeepers site caught my attention, and I'm asking you and your readers for insight. I'm posting this comment on a few different blogs, so you might see it elsewhere. Thanks!

So the Right is trying to co-opt the protest?

Funny how it is bad to protest corporations but it is OK to protest our duly elected government.
