I tend to think that snarking about the homophobia of the modern conservative movement is sort of like shooting a dead moose with a howitzer: It might be fun to do, but it doesn't accomplish much of anything.

Of the wingers and wingnut organizations who have opted out of CPAC for queer reasons, one couldn't help but think that politics is better off without them.

For too many years now the tail has wagged the dog. Wouldn't this be fine if what we are witnessing is the beginnings of a post-Tucson, more reasonable GOP.
