And if you don’t get your s—t together now, I’ll know it’s because you don’t want to. I’ll know that you never cared about democracy. That you never cared about fixing the Constitution that’s currently sitting at the bottom of Sam Alito’s toilet. That you never cared about women or gay and trans folk or the poor or Muslim Americans or even Jewish people. I’ll know that you only care about yourselves, same as the president does. If you careerist scum want to prove me and every other voter wrong, you’d better get started right now. The clock is ticking.
Senate Republicans were never going to negotiate with Chuck Schumer on the CR. He's a spineless, gutless political pussy and everyone knows it. They're always going to roll him, because he flops down on his back and begs not to be hurt.
In a game of political chicken, Schumer always turns away. If only he had a fraction of the spine and purpose of Mitch McConnell.

Schumer has turned into a rubio; a spineless lump of nothing.
As a stroke survivor I feel OK saying that Fettermanchin has lost his damn mind.

I think they are not helping us. They have turned out to be weak politicians. They seem to love Washington DC more than us. But still, they are better than Elon Musk. So I will stay with them.
Ah yes, the kiss of death for a Dem, and well earned. Merrily we circle the drain, circle the drain, circle the drain.....
My thoughts on this might need corrected but......During a government shutdown isn't the Legislative part of our government effectively disabled and with the Judiciary gutted like fish that only leaves the Administrative fat fuck in charge smells like a fucking coup to me, might be that Schumer saw this coming
They do the like my job dance. That is a version of the two step
of keeping my cushy do nothing job. Maybe if they feel their
constituents pain, they might act like they care, maybe.
Eck!
During a shutdown the Legislative part of our government is still
fully in effect and has the power to create funding bills. The
President can only sign or veto those. They are the only way
out of a shutdown. What does stop is any part of the governments
that is funded by existing bills, that's a large cross section of all branches. But the cores the three branches are still fully in
effect only the bank takes a holiday.
The karen-47 might try going the emergency powers path
but it could blowup in his face.

Senator Peters from MI is retiring after this term, so he is unaffected by any negative backlash toward him.
