Very cool. Earliest train rides I can remember were from Milwaukee WI to Green Bay QI on the Chicago and Northwestern. Rode the Amtrak last year to New Mexico which was excruciating. 46 hours late due to Engine issues, and a surly, disgruntled indifferent train crew made for a horrible trip. Heard from another passenger who was an experienced long distance train rider that AMTRAK's CEO was actively trying to eliminate Long distance runs and concentrate on the Northeast and other heavy business travel corridors. I doubt we'll ever travel on Slamtrak again
