Hmm. The CIA and Al Qaeda both execute people without due process, and both execute the wrong person on occasion. But I guess the difference between the two organizations is what you mention -- the CIA doesn't apologize when it executes the wrong person.
As for Texas... they can secede, as far as I'm concerned. Good riddance.
