Ferguson RUMINT

Darren Wilson, the cop who shot Michael Brown, allegedly sustained an orbital fracture.

I don't know how that squares with the private medical examiner's finding of no signs of a struggle on Brown's corpse, though.

Actually I can see how that can happen. Allegedly Brown hit the car door when Wilson was getting out. I've gotten clocked by a car door hard enough that I saw stars and was dazed for a few moments-not from an altercation, but 50mph winds catching it and blowing it back when I was trying to get out. If he was attacked, and got his head between the door and car, there you go.

Also, if the cops had cameras that were rolling, this wouldn't even be an issue. They'd review the footage/audio, and know right away what happened. But some cops don't like people knowing what they're doing I guess.

this is getting so hopelessly muddled... if the cop does indeed have an injury there's no evidence of it in the immediate aftermath video... and you can bet a self-inflicted post-facto might just have come to someone's mind once the gravity of the pickle dawned... and no one will be able to prove anything, it'll just be the cop's word x a deadman

Sergeant told me if I didn't hold my weapon properly, it would leap back and hit me in the face.

Leaving aside how difficult it is to cause an orbital fracture, and how the cop would have then somehow managed to shoot Brown despite being blind in one eye and having a concussion, the best evidence against this is that it's only a rumor. Given that that cops had no qualms about implying Brown is a dangerous thief, only to later admit that the cop didn't know that and the store never reported it, can anyone seriously believe they would not be screaming about how this savage thug brutally beat this poor police officer almost to death and he was defending himself, complete with pictures of the injury, X-rays, and video of him laying at death's door in a hospital bed? Hell, they'd be saying that if he was bruised.

Chris Hernandez has a differing opinion. He has waited a couple of weeks before he posted his thoughts. They sound much more reasonable to me.
