A spokesperson for former President Donald Trump's campaign commented this week on reports of a Trump clemency recipient being convicted of a domestic violence-related charge by saying, "President Trump believes anyone convicted of a crime should spend time behind bars.”
The statement from Trump’s national press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, to The New York Times was in response to a new conviction of Jaime A. Davidson, whose sentence Trump commuted in 2021.
...
Asked if Trump’s view on jail time for convicts relates to his own conviction, Leavitt gave NBC News a slightly different statement than what she told The New York Times, writing, “President Trump believes criminals should spend time behind bars, unlike Kamala Harris, who wants to eliminate cash bail.”

Also in their own (so many) words, the reich-wingers getting paid the big-bucks to promote Russian NAZI propaganda on American social media ~ they're ((( ! innocent ! ))). In their own words they were suckas' ~ dupes, fools, marks, pigeons, rubes ~ led by the nose down a primrose path, followed google along the yellow brick road. In their own words they're just not very smart and things got out of hand. They're innocent, I tells ya', innocent ... !
You and I know that ignorance of the law is no defense, but I see that defense coming eight miles out ...
It's like watching their great-grandparents whining in 1942 that they didn't know that the Christian Front and the German-American Bund were Nazi front groups and that they were totally innocent in joining.
