Anyone remember that Republicans putting the kibosh on peace negotiations when a Democrat is in the White House is a thing?
Nixon, 1968. Reagan, 1980. Trump, 2024. Cadet Bone Spurs asked Netanyahu in the summer of 2024 not to end the war, as that would help Harris. Netanyahu was more than eager to do that, because he viewed Trump as a pliant tool who would agree to anything as long as his ass was publicly kissed.
Republican treason, just the way they act.
But everyone knows that the only reason that Trump was willing to twist Netanyahu's arm, now, is that he wants a Peace Prize. He'd sell Ivanka into a Saudi whorehouse and Eric for his organs if that's what it would take.
I suspect that both his overt campaign for one and his moves to bring about a dictatorship at home will be disqualifying.
Also, an aside to Israel: That the Knesset applauded when Trump claimed that Biden and Obama hated Israel will neither be overlooked nor forgotten.

Israel has destroyed much of the good will, and endangered the promise to never forget. While it is still vital to never forget and to recognize the inhumanity of the Nazi’s and the vicious price paid by innocent Jews, Romani, Gays, Poles, and so forth, the shameful actions of Israel under Bibi, and the ongoing actions of the Settlers and their radical support, have likely set the table for something ugly at some point. They have also hurt those other persecuted minorities worldwide by becoming more and more like those that they were previously victims of.
I recognize that this was not all Jews or Israeli’s, but many will not. This plays into the hands of the haters and dividers…and all so a small group or an individual can increase their power. Even David Ben-Gurion recognized the need to work WITH the Palestinian Arabs, not exterminate them, but these people openly talk of killing them all. This shame will live, draped around the neck of Israel AND the Jewish people much like the shame of Hitler is hung around Germany’s. One hopes that the opposition in Israel can salvage this.
The treatment of Christians in Israel and Gaza has been little mentioned, but with a reduction of the focus on Gaza, this shameful behavior may just cause a whole lot of second thoughts among some Israeli support. And, as for Donnie and is Nobel Prize aspirations, I feel sure that his anti-democracy efforts, attacks on civilian vessels and bombing for peace, that ship has long sailed.
Just learned that our tax dollars of aid pay for Israels health care>. WTF?
Maybe T**** could fulfill the Darwin Award.
