President-elect Donald Trump and his allies signaled Sunday that they will try to call the shots in the Republican-led Senate, pushing the candidacy of Sen. Rick Scott (Florida) for GOP leader and demanding that Republicans allow Trump to make appointments to his administration and the courts without Senate approval.
Trump, who last year promised that he will be dictator “for Day One” of his presidency and has repeatedly expressed admiration for authoritarian leaders, insisted that the next Senate Republican leader make it possible for him to fast-track his nominations over any opposition.
The Constitution requires that presidential appointments be made with the advice and consent of the Senate. But that's too much for the Orange Dictator, even a rubber-stamp process is too slow for him.
A pretty hard-and-fast rule is that no politician ever willingly gives up power. So we'll see if they quickly cave to the Senile Autoctat.

Oh, oh, oh! How could they (or anyone) do this to Mitch McConell? The man of unwavering principle, who spins around as fast as a weathervane when a line squall comes through, a man who rigged the game and loaded the deck to pack SCOTUS (that made so much happen for Trump and his smash-and-grab crowd). Is there no loyalty, no appreciation. Oh, back-of--the-hand-against-the-forehead vapors. Quick, somebody get the Strom Thurman Memorial Senate handtruck to wheel Mitch away......he's locked up again from the humiliation.
Jeez, the shark tank feeding frenzy of Washington as the Trump Victory plays out. Maybe they'll spend all four years doing a Kilkenny cat on the GOP....

Your point is, for those of us who don’t speak Trump’s native language?
He has the votes in the senate to confirm, which means 1) his picks are so odious that he doesn't want the attention to them from confirmation hearings, and 2) he just doesn't want anyone ever to tell him what to do, the constitution be damned.
