The US Marshals Service has deputized members of Elon Musk’s private security detail, giving them certain rights and protections of federal law enforcement agents, three law enforcement officials familiar with the matter told CNN.
As far as I can tell, deputizing mercs/pinks is pretty rare. Now his goons get to have the DoJ defend them when they "accidentally" shoot someone and they can draw on the qualified immunity doctrine instead of being liable for their fuckery like any other mall cop.

Remember the correct pronunciation of DOGE is DOG-E, or simply the
SS (Schutzstaffel). Calling them Dog E seems to annoy them.

Next up: Congress and the Senate will open carry weapons of choice.
If they are now deputized did they have to go through the same background checks and training as a US Marshal? Or does just saluting in the Musk way meet all the qualifications. Maybe they could give them all astronaut licenses with just one test. They all get into a Musk rocket with Musk and then see if they can make into orbit and back, flying manually.
Excellent idea Dan. Let’s see if there is an unscheduled deconstruction of the space rocket too.

Why are liberals obsessed with nazism?
If it’s because they have studied the Weimar Republic, I get it, that’s why I keep a watchful eye on everything. Also why it took me a long time to warm up to Trump.
I personally think it’s for arbitrary reasons that involve emotions.
Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it.
Liberals see what the right and Republicans are doing and it seems to follow along with what happened in the early 1930’s Germany.
A country in an economic state, where inflation was rising, joblessness was increasing and the people were finding daily life difficult. A charismatic individual emerged, who blamed others for the nations troubles, vowing to return to the nations previous glory days. Much of the population followed along and let this charismatic person alter the nation’s government, saying this is the way to better ourselves, while declaring himself chancellor and restricting civil liberties. He declared the news media as enemies (in our case, fake news), set his loyalists up into positions of power and they followed along and did his bidding. And citizens who liked what he was doing silently followed along. When it all came crashing down, those same citizens claimed “We had no idea what they were doing.”
That, in a nutshell, is why liberals are pointing out the similarities between what is happening now and what the Nazi’s did back then.

Who started the inflation, both here and there?
Who started the inflation…let’s see…
1965, that’s LBJ, but it took off under Nixon, jumped under both Ford and Carter, eased under Reagan and peaked again under Bush. Under Clinton it dropped and we had a Federal spending surplus, and it stayed mostly down with Bush Jr. until almost the end, before a bump and then steady declines under Obama. Next came Trump, who had decent numbers, with some inflation due to early policies and then turned the spigots on just before he left leaving skyrocketing inflation that the Biden team seemingly engineered ending in a soft landing. Trumps back in and inflation expectation have immediately risen, mainly due to the tariff actions and threats, which will…surprise, surprise, increase inflation.
Reminder, the National Debt under Clinton dropped from 47.8% of GDP to 33.6% due to budget surpluses between 1997 and 2001.
What happened under Trump last time? Trump added $8.4 trillion to the National Debt, of which only $3.6T was COVID related…so Trump added $4.8T of debt which Biden, even counting the COVID related stimulus package, added just $4.3T ($2.2T non-COVID).
The assumption of being liberal, really doesn't fit me. However as a
student of history the parallels are uncanny. Then again my dad did
the Italian tour via tunisa and the Italian beaches. Mussolini would
be also a valid fascist parallel.
They do call themselves Nazis. So what part of denial are we talking
about?
