Sen. Jon Husted (R-Ohio) fired his campaign’s political director, Stephen Woytek, on Friday after learning about social media posts linked to Woytek, including a Facebook profile photo of Nazi officers and a public playlist of songs celebrating Rhodesia, a now-defunct nation often venerated by white supremacists.

A spokesperson for Husted’s campaign told The Hill that Woytek, who joined the campaign in August, had “denied negative intent” but said the senator had quickly opted to fire him after learning of the posts Friday.

Ramaswamy was born in 1985. He is apparently ignorant of a lot of things. He probably thinks the Green Book was just a movie. He's never seen a "sundown town". He has no knowledge of Black people being beaten and lynched for trying to vote. He doesn't know shit about Bloody Sunday in Selma. He knows nothing about racial segregation in employment. "Redlining" is unknown to him. He doesn't know about Black people being denied service in restaurants. He doesn't understand that UBCUs came about because Blacks were denied admittance to colleges and universities.

He's either willfully blind to all that history, or he does know and he figures it's better for him if he plays the role of a white racist. Either way, he's about as despicable as they come.

Paxton is Yet Another Vote Fraudster Complaining About Voter Fraud

Two weeks before this year’s primary elections, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced the creation of a tip line for the public to report people or groups suspected of voter fraud.

“You must register to vote using the address where you reside,” the attorney general’s guidance stated.

Despite his own warnings, Paxton appears to have used an address where he did not live while voting in six elections in the past two years, including in May’s runoff that made him the Republican nominee for U.S. senator, according to records obtained by ProPublica and The Texas Tribune.

State Sen. Angela Paxton said in a 2025 divorce filing that Paxton, whom she accused of adultery, moved out of their Collin County home a year earlier. But Paxton continues to list the home’s address in the northern Dallas suburb on his voter registration. Angela Paxton declined to be interviewed. A source close to the Paxtons said the attorney general has not moved back into the home since leaving.

It is unclear where Paxton has lived for the past two years, but reporting by ProPublica and the Tribune has linked him to a home in neighboring Denton County since February.

So, when Paxton isn't busy protecting child molesters, he's committing voter fraud.

Goebbels would be proud of him.

Two Cases Show How Racist and Evil the Roberts Court is

In 2006, the Court, in Purcell v. Gonzales, held that election changes should not be made just before a vote, to avoid confusing voters. But in the aftermath of the Callais case, the majority of Roberts' Calvinball Court has been tripping over themselves to allow the Confederate states to redo their congressional districts mere days before the primaries and, in the case of Louisiana, while voting had already begun.

The takeaway is this: Whatever the Fascist Six on the Court can do to promote white districts and eliminate majority-Black districts, they will do. The Klan Six may believe that the Voting Rights Act was obsolete, but every action taken by the states of the Old Confederacy since Callais have shown that the VRA is as necessary today as it was in 1965.

Alabama- Racist to the Core

Someone else pointed out that it took Alabama fourteen years to implement Brown v. Board of Ed., which was mandatory, and fourteen days after LA v. Callais to redistrict to eliminate majority Black districts, which was not mandatory.

Wherever the states of the Confederacy can bend towards racial discrimination, they will do so.

The secretary of Miami-Dade County’s Republican Party started a group chat primarily for conservative students last fall — and within three weeks it was filled with racist slurs, someone wrote dozens of ways of violently killing Black people and the chat was renamed after what one member described as “Nazi heaven.”

In WhatsApp conversations leaked to the Miami Herald, participants used variations of the n-word more than 400 times, regularly described women as “whores,” used slurs to talk about Jewish and gay people and mused about Hitler’s politics.

The conversations included some of the campus’ top conservative leaders: the county GOP secretary, FIU’s Turning Point USA chapter president and the former College Republicans recruitment chair.

GOP: Free Speech For Me, Executions For Thee

An Arizona Republican lawmaker on Wednesday called for the execution of a Democratic congresswoman because she urged people upset with President Donald Trump to protest in the streets.

Kingman Republican Rep. John Gillette wrote on the social media site X that U.S. Rep. Pramila Jayapal, a Democrat from Washington, was calling for the the government to be overthrown and should be hanged.

Right, the party that has spent the last several years bleating about free speech and screaming about "cancel culture" now wants to lynch anyone who says anything nasty about Lord Voldemoron of Mar-a-Lago. And don't think it is a coincidence that this clown wants to hang a woman of color for having the temerity to say anything derogatory about His Orange Babyman God.

Conservatives: Guns and free spech only for white men.

It's pretty clear that Hegseth's operating from the premise that everything good and historic in the armed forces has been done by straight white men. Don't be shocked if he orders that the name of the USS Doris Miller be changed to the USS Jesse Helms.

Meanwhile, the Demented Spray-Tanned Felonious Führer took retaliatory action against a law firm that worked for Hillary Clinton nine years ago.

President Trump on Thursday signed an executive order aimed at stripping security clearances and government ties to Perkins Coie, a major law firm that did work for Democrats during the 2016 campaign.

This is simply the actions of a petty autocrat (or wannabee) who is going to stomp hard on anyone who annoys his pinkie. On Wednesday, President Donald Trump revoked a six-decade-old executive order designed to combat workplace discrimination by federal contractors, undoing a landmark labor standard that stretches back to the presidency of Lyndon Baines Johnson.

The rule Trump nuked, Executive Order 11246, forbade federal contractors from discriminating on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation or gender identity. It granted the Labor Department the power to enforce its provisions through a contracting standards office.

For sixty years, Federal contractors have been forbidden from discriminating against people. But the Twice-Impeached Felon wants to Make America White Again, so he's doing everything he can to make discrimination the law of the land.

The Last Vestige of Slavery in the Constitution

That is the Electoral College. It was put in place, in part, to give outsized influence in selecting presidents to slave states. It remains the most undemocratic part of our system of electing people, for it makes the presidency and vice presidency the only elected offices in the country for which it matters not how many people voted for them,

And if you live in a state that reliably goes one way or the other, your vote is more or less meaningless. Your only other way to have a say is to donate cash.

I know, it's not going to change, sort of a constitutional convention. Republicans like it because they have a shot at winning despite rarely having the most votes. The so-called swing states love it, because it means that people pay attention to them.

But it's undemocratic bullshit and if Republicans were honest with themselves, they'd admit that. They're depending on a slavery institution.

So you could argue that modern Republicans love slavery, which is a hell of a fall from their origins.

"Real Scumbags" and Klansmen in the House GOP Caucus

U.S. Rep. Tony Gonzales, R-San Antonio, ripped into his party’s right flank for voting against billions in foreign aid for U.S. allies last week, castigating his ultraconservative peers as “scumbags” and klansmen.

“These people used to walk around with white hoods at night. Now they're walking around with white hoods in the daytime,” Gonzales told CNN’s Dana Bash in an interview Sunday. “It didn't surprise me that some of these folks voted against aid to Israel.”

Gonazales, a rare flame-throwing centrist who is battling it out against YouTube gun enthusiast Brandon Herrera in the first serious primary challenge, singled out two sitting Republicans by name who have endorsed against him.

“It's my absolute honor to be in Congress, but I serve with some real scumbags like [Florida Congressman] Matt Gaetz. He paid minors to have sex with them at drunk parties,” Gonzales said, before calling out Rep. Bob Good for earlier this month endorsing Herrera, whom he called a “known neo-Nazi.”

Makes it easy for me when all I have to do is copy and paste the words of a Republican, without having to add more snark.

How to Tell That Republicans Have Never Done an Honest Day's Work in Their Lives

Ben Shapiro thinks that people should work until they die, because work makes you free, I guess.

Frankly, I think retirement itself is a stupid idea unless you have some sort of health problem. Everybody that I know who is -- who is elderly, who has retired, is dead within five years. And if you talk to people who are elderly and they lose their purpose in life by losing their job and they stop working, things go to hell in a handbasket real quick.

That could be a matter of nobody who is happy in their life would care to be within ten clicks of Ben Shapiro. True, my father died about eight years after he retired, but it wasn't lack of purpose that killed him. It was cancer. So fuck you, Ben, along with your horse and everybody who looks like you.

Republicans want to raise the retirement age, too.

I know a number of guys who work in the trades. While they are all thankful that they have because they make a good living (the ones who have their own businesses pulled their logos from their trucks as they have too much work as it is); all of them who are over fifty have mentioned that their bodies are slowly showing the strain, especially in their lower backs and knees. All of them are looking forward to retiring. Some are adjusting their finances so they can retire early and live before Social Security kicks in. The same is more than true, by the way, for nurses.

Cops, soldiers and firefighters retire at twenty years for a reason. It can be hard and brutal work. There was a state that didn't offer early retirement to corrections officers, requiring them to work until they were at least 55. Most didn't live to see 60. The state wasn't run by heartless fucks like Shapiro, who would have seen that as a success. Instead, they gave their prison guards the same retirement plan as their first responders.

These are the people that Republicans want to fuck over. The hardest work most of those buttmunchers have ever done is lifting a bag of golf clubs onto the back of a golf cart. They've never come home from a job where the first thing they needed to do was take a shower.

But what can you expect from a party whose party leader believes that hard work and sacrifice is for losers?

A Racist, Activist Right-Wing Judge

That would be Lee Rudofsky in Arkansas. In a voting rights case, he went looking for a reason to further dismantle the Voting Rights Act, found one, had the parties brief it, then ruled in favor of the issue that he had found. Which was just peachy with the appellate court.

For almost all of my life, I've read and heard the Racist Right screaming about "activist judges", especially when it came to dismantling segregation. But now that there are judges, especially Trump-appointed judges, who are actively making it harder for minorities to vote, that's just fine with so-called conservatives.

It is racism. It is Southern judges doing what Southern judges historically have done-- helping the neo-Confederates keep those uppity folks from voting.

And when they get done with that, those "conservatives" want to go after the 19th Amendment. Most of the states in the deep South didn't ratify the 19th Amendment until fifty years after it was adopted.

Trumpist Party Gives Up on Non-White Voters

The Republican National Committee is cutting its minority outreach program after a takeover by Trump loyalists who plan to steer as much money as possible to support the former president’s campaign, The Daily Beast’s Roger Sollenberger reports.

The RNC has decided to scrap an effort launched in 2022 to engage voters in heavy minority populations, particularly in Latino communities. One source told The Daily Beast the tagline might as well be “Make the RNC White Again.”

You can bet the TOFF's last kopeck that outreach activists working for Biden will make a lot of hay over this. But it's consistent with the Trump Party's long-standing efforts to make it harder for minorities to vote, as abetted by Johnny Roberts and the Supremes.

Just one more indication that the GOP is becoming a white supremacist/Christianist party. The god that they claim to worship likely would be appalled. The orange one that they, in fact, pledge fealty to approves.

The TOFF Explained in One Quote

That was LBJ said to Bill Moyers in 1960. It is what Republicans have run on since then: Goldwater, Nixon, Reagan, right up to the TOFF in three elections.

Carribean Cruz Wants Special Treatment

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) has proposed legislation “that would offer lawmakers a dedicated security escort at airports, along with expedited screening outside of public view.” He’s trying to attach it to FAA Reauthorization.

Cancun Cruz, AKA the Canadien/Cuban Usurper, wants to be able to slink through airports without anyone seeing him. So that the next time the power goes out in Texas, he can bravely run away without being spotted and photographed.

Nikki Haley tried to say that the Civil War was about "the freedoms that people could and couldn't do". After being lambasted widely for the fact that one of those so-called freedoms was the freedom to own other people and work them to death, she admitted that slavery was one of the causes of the Civil War.

Hey, Haley, it was the cause. That's the issue your home state went to war about. Not stating that the Civil War was about slavery is like trying to explain orbital dynamics without mentioning gravity.

Meanwhile, Lauren Boebert is packing up her carpetbag and moving to another part of Colorado in search of voters who are dumb enough to send her to Congress again. So when the going gets tough, Boebert runs away. Just like Brave Sir Robin.

Meanwhile, in Ohio

Ohio voters approved a constitutional amendment on Tuesday that ensures access to abortion and other forms of reproductive health care, the latest victory for abortion rights supporters since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade last year.

Ohio became the seventh state where voters decided to protect abortion access after the landmark ruling and was the only state to consider a statewide abortion rights question this year.

That banning abortion is a loser for Republicans in a lot of states (ie, non-Confederate states). I'm not sure that having a constitutional right in Ohio will do much, though. The Party of the Fetus has a firm hold on both the statehouse and the state supreme court, both of which have had no hesitation to twist the law and reason as much as they need to in order to support their agenda of enslaving women of childrearing age.

Ohioans came out for individual freedom in another issue, as well:

Ohio voters approved a measure legalizing recreational marijuana on Tuesday, defying Republican legislative leaders who had failed to pass the proposed law.

Passage of Issue 2 makes Ohio the 24th state to allow adult cannabis use for non-medical purposes.

We should end this moronic, Nixonian war on drugs. But we're too stupid to do that and the DEA-LEO Industrial Complex has too much to gain from keeping it going.
