On Commenting on Political Matters, Both Here and Elsewhere
You should ask yourself two questions:
If the answer to the first question is "yes" and the answer to the second question is "no", then consider shutting the fuck up until November, 2026.
However much you think your vote doesn't count, it does. 90 million Americans were eligible to vote in 2024 and, for whatever reason, couldn't be bothered to do that one act of citizenship. An act of citizenship that people have been killed over. An act of citizenship that a majority of Americans were once forbidden to perform, either by intimidation or by the law (and still are, in more and more states).
But you, you special snowflake, couldn't get off your dead ass and vote.
Note that I'm not making this contingent on for whom you voted. Regardless of what I think of Der Drumpfenführer, those who voted for him are mostly honorable citizens (neo-nazis notwithstanding) who exercised their rights as citizens.
To those who could have voted but didn't: Your opinions on political matters are without value.
You didn't vote.
Shut the fuck up.
- Was I eligible to vote in the last election?
- Did I vote?

Donald Trump is Either Delusional or a Russian Asset
President Donald Trump suggested Tuesday that Ukraine was responsible for Russia's invasion of the country three years ago, arguing Kyiv could have made a deal to avoid the conflict.
“You should have never started it,” Trump said of Ukraine while criticizing President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who had expressed concern that his country was not included in talks between the U.S. and Russia in Saudi Arabia.
That is naked revisionism akin to blaming Poland for staring World War Two.
Ukraine did not attack Russia. Ukraine did not invade Russia. Anyone who maintains otherwise is a complete and total moron.
Trump is either an idiot or a Russian tool. There is no viable third choice, other than "all of the above".
One Would Think Musk's Nazis Would be More Efficient
None of the DOGEjungen would be eaten by zombies because they'e lacking in brains.
Idiots. I expect that a lot of the firings will be reversed because the DOGEholes are claiming performance issues when a shitload of the people being fired have excellent performance reviews.
Beyond that, I would not be surprised if the survivng Federal workers end up being radicalized against everything that the Musk Administration seeks to do and implements creative and undetectable sabotage moves. Nobody knows better how to gum up the works without leaving fingerprints like an experienced bureaucrat. For it is really stupid to make enemies out of the people who work for you.
The United States Department of Agriculture on Tuesday said that, over the weekend, it accidentally fired "several" agency employees who are working on the federal government's response to the H5N1 avian flu outbreak.
In a statement, the agency said it is trying to quickly reverse the firings.
"Although several positions supporting [avian flu] were notified of their terminations over the weekend, we are working to swiftly rectify the situation and rescind those letters," a USDA spokesperson said in a statement. "USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service frontline positions are considered public safety positions, and we are continuing to hire the workforce necessary to ensure the safety and adequate supply of food to fulfill our statutory mission."

1938 is calling: The Czechoslovakians would like to have a word.
The United States and Russia will appoint high-level teams to negotiate the end of the war in Ukraine and are working to reestablish diplomatic channels, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said at the end of key talks that excluded Kyiv.
The Ukrainians and the Europeans undoubtedly sense that a massive buttfuck is coming, if Little Marco and the rest of Putin's Poodles get their way.

Lawfare
The top federal prosecutor who supervised criminal cases at the Washington, D.C. U.S. Attorney's office resigned on Tuesday, citing what she described as an improper demand by officials appointed by President Donald Trump's administration to launch a criminal probe and pursue an asset freeze.
In a letter to the interim U.S. Attorney Ed Martin reviewed by Reuters, the office's criminal chief Denise Cheung wrote that the Trump administration had ordered her to investigate a government contract awarded during Joe Biden's administration and pursue a freeze of the recipient's assets.
She said that neither request was supported by the evidence, which she said she was provided with by the Deputy Attorney General's office.
It's funny how the Republicans were oh, so upset about prosecuting Trump for stuff that there were literally piles of evidence to support. But it's no shock that Emil Bove, a leading Trumpist goon, is behind this.

Please, Mr. Leopard, Eat Other People's Faces
The steer stupidity of MAGA has to be read to be believed.
If you look around, you can find lots of people complaining that they foted for Trump and they truly thought that only those people would be hurt by the Trumpist meat axe.
Well, sucks to be them.
Meanwhile, down on the farms:
They are now in "finding out" territory.
Waiter! An order of schadenfreude for the table, please.

Meanwhile, down on the farms:
Farmers across the United States are finding themselves in precarious economic positions, as they attempt to navigate a strained farm economy and a barrage of executive orders from the Trump administration that put some farm programs in limbo.
...
Missouri cattle producer Skylar Holden signed a $240,000 cost-sharing contract with the U.S. Department of Agriculture to improve water systems on his 260-acre cattle operation. After getting approval in January for the next phase of the project and investing upwards of $50,000 in pipes, equipment and labor, Holden says he got a call a week later from his field agent telling him the payments from USDA were on hold.
“I instantly asked … what does that mean for all this money that I just spent, that I’m relying on these funds to come through?” Holden recounted in a TikTok live on Feb. 13.
He said he was told the money was frozen and that it was not clear when or if the payments would happen.
...
When asked on a scale of 1 to 10 what his confidence was that the payment would come through eventually, Holden, who voted for Trump, rated the possibility a “one.”
They are now in "finding out" territory.

Trump is Pro-Child Rape, As One Might Expect
The Trump administration has urged Romanian authorities to lift travel restrictions on influencer Andrew Tate and his brother, Tristan Tate, as they await trial on charges including human trafficking, sexual misconduct, and money laundering, according to a report by the Financial Times.
The 37-year-old is currently under house arrest in Romania and is awaiting trial on human trafficking charges. His brother, 36, and two Romanian women are also awaiting trial.
Interesting how the Mango Mussolini is standing up for a couple of clowns who are accussed of human trafficking, which, coincidentally, is one of the very crimes that he accuses mogrants of perpetuating.
Emperor Musk Wants Everyone's Tax Information
Sure, trust Musk and the DOGEjüngen with the personal taxpayer information of everyone.
Conservatives, who would be marching on D.C. with their rifles if Bill Gates or George Soros did this, are just fine with an unelected former illegal immigrant having access to their most sensitive data.

Yeah, that has the potential to go well.
Musk and SpaceX have the mentality of "tinker with it, and if it goes *boom* change something and try again". Which is absolutely the wrong thing to be doing with a system that handles thousands of airliners packed with passengers.

Further Proof That the Trump Musk Administration is Staffed by Morons
The Trump administration fired 20 immigration judges without explanation, a union official said Saturday amid sweeping moves to shrink the size of the federal government.
On Friday, 13 judges who had yet to be sworn in and five assistant chief immigration judges were dismissed without notice, said Matthew Biggs, president of the International Federation of Professional & Technical Engineers, which represents federal workers. Two other judges were fired under similar circumstances in the last week.
That's a really stupid move to fire judges who are needed to process immigration cases.
The Musk Administration priorities cruelty over intelligence.
Trump’s Mafia-Grade Extortion.
"Nice country you have here. Be a shame if something happened to it.
Trump was demanding that Ukraine sign over its resources with nothing offered in return. He must think everyone else is as addled as he is.
His negotiating skill is similarly deficient. His people are taking stuff off the table before the first session, and it's only stuff that the Russians might have had to give up.
The MR Old Felon is either a Russian asset or he's truly deranged in the membrane.

The "physics package" is the part of a nuclear weapon that makes it go kaboom. Suddenly firing those guys and locking them out of their email while they have stuff that the Iranians and others would pay lots of money for is a Very Bad Idea.

Eric Adams is Definitely Trump's Bitch
The "agreement", of course, is Trump letting Adams skate on bribery charges in exchange for doing Trump's bidding. It's corruption, pure and simple.
Those who decry prosecuting Adams as "lawfare" are, frankly, full of shit. The charges are well supported, as can be shown by the fact that a rock-ribbed Republican prosecutor refused to dismiss them.

Not All Conservative Attorneys are Corrupt (Updated)
The DoJ can't find a prosecuting attorney to sign the dismissal motion in the case aganst Mayor Adams. The count of "with all due respect, fuck you, I quit" is now up to six.
What's going on is that there is ample evidence of a quid pro quo in the Adams case and the career attorneys are not willing to flush their law licenses in order to satisfy Mango Mussolini.
Or their freedom as what Bondi wants them to do is, in fact, a crime.
