Imagine George Soros Doing This

Imagine, if you will, George Soros holding a press conference in the Oval Office for two hours. Imagine his companies having large contracts with the Federal government and Soros being able to cancel the contracts with other companies.

If that were to happen, MAGA mobs would be marching on Washington with torches and rifles.

But they're absolutely silent while Musk runs a huge grift to enrichen himself.

People *didn't* elect a president who promised to let Soros loose on the bloated bureaucratic Gravy Train that our Federal Government has become.

They *did* elect Donald Trump, who promised during the campaign to let Musk loose to break it up.

I think you missed the point... Hint the key word is contract. If
someone reneges on a contract with you and it costs you do,
you simply let it go or do you make an effort to enforce it?

As to promises, I'm waiting.

So you’re okay with edicts from the Oval Office allowing an unelected, billionaire and the President to circumvent the laws laid down by the Constitution?

To paraphrase another Republican president, “Doing a helleva job , Muskie.”

The orange a**hole broke a number of promises and the cost of living is rising. Most stores now limit you to one carton of eggs per day. The yellow dogs are now biting the hands that feed them.

Any department could have been properly audited. It was never necessary to start by "defunding"', "tearing down", "closing" critical departments, or "tossing" experienced civil workers out the front doors.

Was the FAA bloated? Be careful what you ask for.

Also, don’t bitch about it when the Republicans privatize ATC. Just smile and pay up whenever you zoom around in your rice rocket.

Dale in nearly 30 years of flying bug smashers (made in Ohio) I
have strong memories of two non-federal towers. Why? because
they damn near killed me. Lower competence and flaky adherence
to the FAA-FARS aka the rules. Every NFTower I've encountered
resulted in a much heightened awareness of what was going on
and how to assure through their errors I didn't bust the sacred
rule, break the air plane and kill me.

I don't mind paying, I often did! but if they don't enhance safety
they should be out of the business.

I based at two airports that had towers. One, a FAA tower, sometimes had eight trainers in the pattern, as well as transients coming and doing. All handled with a lack of drama. .They most definitely had the flick.

The other, a NFT, would go into brain-lock if there were more than three airplanes in the pattern. I paid a lot more attention to things at that field.
