Reason #8,934 Why Republican Politicians are Nothing More Than Disgusting Lumps of Baboon Excrement

A Republican US congressman from Ohio has called for federal disaster relief to be withheld from California unless the state reforms its forestry management practices that some blame for the rapid spread of wind-fanned fires that broke on Tuesday.

Warren Davidson’s remarks to Fox Business’ Maria Bartiromo on Friday came as California’s Democratic governor, Gavin Newsom, urged officials to avoid politicizing the response to the blazes which had killed people and destroyed thousands of homes.

I don't recall Democratic congressmen calling for no disaster relief to southern states after tornados and hurricanes until they revise their building codes and stop putting houses near the shoreline. No, because they are sentient adults who don't go around playing politics with disasters.

But that is not for Republicans. No, Republicans are mean-spirited, petty ghouls.

Nobody is going to withhold aid for Ohio when the inevitable tornado rips through Davidson's district. Because, unlike him, most people are kind and generous in the face of catastrophe.

Davidson, though, is about as despicable and evil a person as they come. He is a walking septic tank, an asshole from his hairline to the soles of his feet.

As an ex-San Diego resident, who lived through the Scripps Ranch and Poway fires (which nearly took my business and home), the FEMA funding was much needed and helpful.

These pissants, who use disasters for political purposes, will experience one that destroys their town or home or family. Why? Because they won't do anything about climate change. They are craven beyond belief and, when it happens, they'll blame DEI or democrats or rage about some fabricated deep-state nonsense. And then shit on FEMA for responding. I can only hope they choke on their own words.

OK, two things from a Californian whose dad worked for the US Forest Service for thirty years and who fought on a few forest fires when I was young:
1. No amount of water or "forest management" will stop or even significantly slow a fire driven by a warm, dry 50 to 100 mph wind.
2. Los Angeles is not a forest.

I am more than a bit fed up with this "rake the forrest" crap. First off, I worked in those forrests and there is barely a place to stand in many of them. Raking would be suicide as you cling to a steep "high lead" as we called them in logging. Second off, as has been said here, what is burning in LA is housing tracts, not forrest. I bet those trac houses were mowed as well as raked. It didn't help when the house is on fire in a hundred mile an hour wind.

Most of the BS is from rethugs. Which is why I call them re-thugs.
It is all propaganda to confuse or diffuse what they are doing,
aka "Look Squirrel"!

Always ask what is it your not supposed to see.
