So did John Roberts, Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Barrett. They all have blood on their hands.
Josseli Barnica didn't have to die. She had a miscarriage. The doctors refused to treat her for forty hours, because of Texas law. She died from a subsequent infection that was entirely preventable.
Every doctor consulted by Pro Publica agreed that what happened to Ms. Barnica was nothing sort of state-mandated malpractice. She did not have to die. She died because she had the misfortune to be pregnant and miscarry in Texas, a state that places zero value on the lives of mothers because members of the Christian Taliban rule the state.
To put it succinctly, Ms. Barnica was sacrificed on the altar of the Cult of the Fetus.
Her death was eminently foreseeable. Her death was a consequence of Texan abortion law that was made known to the cultists who enacted that law and to the justices who cleared the way for the law.
They all have her blood on their hands.

They want women to make cheap labor. To them its a manufacturing
process.
Every one of the critters that voted for the law should be charged with homicide and sued, along with the hospital. The hospital besides
having to obey the hearbeat law, they need to remember the
woman has one that could stop as well...and did! For them criminal negligence.
Eck!
Thing is when my father (3rd in a line of docs, b 1914) went to med school in the late '30s, medicine was a war zone where docs and nurses and staff worked in peril of dread disease. True there were vaccinations, but no antibiotics. You were a doc or a nurse or worked as staff, your life was on the line. My father's younger brother died a slow hideous death of a bone infection that a course of amoxicillin, the pediatric pink medicine, would have knocked on it ass. Prevention, sterile technique were rigorous discipline. Then came antibiotics and other advances, and medicine, which had been a hazardous calling...became risk free. Worse, a good business career decision, for people wanting a good-paying job...whether or not they had a calling. Bad news.
So...once upon a time, maybe docs would have said, "Fuck this, we'll do what'll save Josseli...saving lives whatever the risk is what docs do".
I guess not so much now. 'Making' money, being safe, obeying the corporate overlords and their spreadsheets come first...
Jesus wept. The C-suiite and the Right didn't.
Stewart Dean, that's exactly what they want. Corporate overlords and proles doing the actual work. A plutocracy is their ideal. 2024 is forty years to late for their goals, 1984 would be more on time but now they can add what they learned from The Handmaiden's Tale and Idiocracy.
