My Letter to the NY Times
I sent this to the editorial and national desks, because those were the email addresses that I could find.
First, I apologize for sending this to you. I would have sent it to your publisher and editor-in-chief, but, probably for good reasons, those emails are hard to find. Feel free to forward this, if you like.
I've been a reader for many, many years. When my schedule was fluid, I bought the paper from newsstands or convenience stores. More recently, I've had a Sunday and digital subscription.
But I can no longer continue. My perception has been that, when it comes to the suitability for the two major candidates for the presidency, the Times has been slanting its coverage. I have read very little coverage of Trump's insane ramblings at his rallies and on social media and lots of coverage of every misstep of Biden's.
When one considers the real threat that Trump poses to our democracy, especially in the wake of this week's decision by the Supreme Court, this makes no sense to me.
The only thing that I can conclude is that the Times believes that it sold more newspapers, both in print and digital, when Trump was in office, and that it wants to see those profits return. Which means that the Times is willing to run the risk of seeing our republic destroyed if it can make a buck in the process.
I don't have to be a part of that. I won't be a part of that.
After the Sunday paper is delivered tomorrow, I will cancel my subscription.

They're the ones who can say "AMF" and have a financial effect on the NRA. Life members generally don't quit (they die off), but they also don't pay ongoing dues.
1.3 million dues-paying members is a lot to lose. That is probably why the amount of dues being paid dropped by two-thirds. Where life members can make an impact is in giving cash, and it would seem there, the NRA is also hurting, as donations have been halved.
As an aside, the NRA is still claiming that there are five million members.
Total income is more than halved, but that didn't stop WLP and his cronies from sucking cash out of the organization until very recently.

The FOFF Wants to Put Political Opponents on Trial
Former President Donald Trump amplified posts on social media calling for a televised military tribunal for former Republican Rep. Liz Cheney and the jailing of top elected officials, including President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
“ELIZABETH LYNNE CHENEY IS GUILTY OF TREASON,” one post created by another user that Trump amplified on his social media website Truth Social on Sunday reads. “RETRUTH IF YOU WANT TELEVISED MILITARY TRIBUNALS.”
Cheney responded on X, “Donald - This is the type of thing that demonstrates yet again that you are not a stable adult—and are not fit for office.”
"Treason", in this case, is opposing the wannabee dictator.
You should take note that Republicans, from Moscow Mitch on down, are silent. Their candidates is treatening to destroy American democracy and, in this time of celebration of American freedom, they continue to reveal themselves to be disloyal Americans. Republicans are loyal to their party first, not their country, not to the Constitution.
And there is the contrast between the parties. Biden is aging and Democrats are panicking. Trump is showing his desire to be a tyrant and Republicans are not only silent, they're falling into line.
What you can do this November, to honor those who have served and who have been killed defending our freedoms, is to not for for a Republican, for any office whatsoever.

Baby Bobby Kennedy is a Real Creep
According to Vanity Fair’s reporting (which has not been verified by MSNBC), a woman named Eliza Cooney, who had been hired to babysit Kennedy’s children in 1998 when she was 23, alleged that he groped her or behaved inappropriately toward her on three occasions. Cooney told the publication that she wrote about the first incident in her diary at the time and that she had confided in her mother in 2017 during the height of the #MeToo movement. She said she had also told several of her friends about Kennedy’s alleged behavior last year, after he announced his run for president.
Kennedy did not respond to NBC News’ request for comment on the allegations. But asked about the assault allegations in an interview on “Breaking Points,” a YouTube show, he said he would not respond to the details, adding that he had a “rambunctious youth.” (Kennedy was in his 40s when the incidents are alleged to have occurred.)
“Listen, I’ve said this from the beginning: I am not a church boy,” he told the interviewer Tuesday. “I had a very, very rambunctious youth. I said in my announcement speech that I — I have so many skeletons in my closet that if they all vote, I could run for king of the world.”

An analysis has shown that they, along with other papers, are far more focused on Biden's mental acuity than Trump's, even though Trump keeps going on with his insane ramblings. Of the papers in the tank for Trump, only one, the Wall Street Journal, is no surprise, since they're a Murdoch propaganda rag.

Putin's Poodle in Eastern Europe Visits Ukraine to Preach the Gospel of Surrender
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has made his first visit to Kyiv since Russia’s full-scale war began, and urged Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelensky to consider a “ceasefire” in order to “speed up peace talks” with Moscow.
Standing alongside Zelensky on Tuesday, Orban, who is close to Russian President Vladimir Putin and has criticized European support for Ukraine, said: “I asked the president to think about whether we could reverse the order, and speed up peace talks, with making a ceasefire first.”
Hungary was aligned with Nazi Germany and so it's no real surprise that they feel a tug to make common cause with Hitler's intellectual son in Budapest. Only being a NATO/EU member pulls Orban back a little. He's also trying to cut back on his ostracism in Europe because he has aligned himself with this century's fascist European aggressor.

Whether or not any drug is safe or any food process is safe will depend on which of 700-odd Federal judges gets the case. Whether or not an airliner is proerly designed will be reviewed by a judge who knows less about flying than Ted Striker.
This is economic insanity. One thing about a regulatory regime is that everybody involved in an industry knows what the rules are. Now, thanks to the august anacephalics on the Supreme Court, any rule or regulation can be overturned on a whim by any Federal judge anywhere whi knows nothing about the industry or process involved. It's like suing over the results of a football game and then being told by one judge that it's OK to underinflate the footballs and another that being called for offsides is unfair.

Don't Worry, Some Fucker's Getting Rich Off of This Deal; Boeing Ed.
Boeing announced plans to acquire key supplier Spirit AeroSystems for $4.7 billion, a move that it says will improve plane quality and safety amid increasing scrutiny by Congress, airlines and the Department of Justice.
Boeing previously owned Spirit, and the purchase would reverse a longtime Boeing strategy of outsourcing key work on its passenger planes. That approach has been criticized as problems at Spirit disrupted production and delivery of popular Boeing jetliners, including 737s and 787s.
“We believe this deal is in the best interest of the flying public, our airline customers, the employees of Spirit and Boeing, our shareholders and the country more broadly,” Boeing President and CEO Dave Calhoun said in a statement late Sunday.
Boeing didn't "previously own Spirit." Spirit didn't exist, it was Boeing's Wichita Division. They spun it off because some of those assholes could make a boatload of money doing that (and break the union contracts) and now those same assholes are going to make even more money re-absorbing it. Calhoun is lying through his immaculately cared-for choppers: Boeing doesn't give a damn about "the flying public" and hasn't in the last three decades. They'd happily crash a fully-loaded 737 once every quarter if doing so made their stock price go up.

Or, if he loses, declare that the 2024 election was stolen by Trump and refuse to leave office.
