The Trump administration is seeking to delay a Democratic effort to require the Secret Service to disclose how much it spends protecting President Trump and his family when they travel — until after the 2020 election, according to people familiar with the discussions. The SS is required to file yearly summaries of what it costs to protect the First Family, but they haven't done it for years. The obvious conclusion, when any government agency refuses to file required reports, is that they have something to hide.
The issue has emerged as a sticking point in recent weeks as Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and key senators have been negotiating draft legislation to move the Secret Service back to his department, its historic home.
By now, it is clear that it has been costing a shitload of money to provide SS protection to Trump and his spawn. The SS has asked for a budget boost of $60 million/year in order to cover the huge costs of providing security for the Mouth of Orange and his coterie of rotten kids.
Remember when Trump was lambasting Obama for traveling and promised that he'd be too busy to play golf? Bet you'd have to look far and wide to find a member of the Party of Trump who does.

I'd like to know how much of it Fergus gets when they have to spend our money at his properties.

I'd ask (and this isn't whataboutism) how much we have been spending on our last 4 or 5 presidents.
And how much that security cost has grown due to excessive paranoia on the SS? I mean, their security perimeters have grown by about a factor of 5 and the staffing has grown by about 3X in the time that I have been paying attention (like the pat 20 or so years).
The excess spending is because of the visits to his golf courses and his now-Floridian home, B. This was the guy who criticized Obummer for golfing from time to time, and even suggested during the campaign that he‘d spend less time if elected President.
Willie was relatively cheap because the world was a different place.
G W Bush’s costs aren’t broken out that way, but he took 1,020 vacation days, however many were in Texas, at his ranch. The SS costs for that would be relatively low.
Obama was $114 million for eight years, with 328 vacation days, mostly Martha’s Vineyard and Hawaii.
Donnie is already well above Barack’s vacation day rate, but below GW’s. The problem is the SS is stuck playing “rack rates” in Trump properties when Donnie visits, and Mar-a-lago alone costs $3.4 million per visit. Best estimate is Donnie had already topped Barack’s total by last July, but the fight to not reveal costs may suggest its even worse than that.
CP: THanks.
A little more information here.
There was a bit of a furor when the SS bought a cigarette boat that was faster than GHWB's.
