Hold Yer Breath...

Kamala Harris now leads Donald Trump in Iowa — a startling reversal for Democrats and Republicans who have all but written off the state’s presidential contest as a certain Trump victory.

A new Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa Poll shows Vice President Harris leading former President Trump 47% to 44% among likely voters just days before a high-stakes election that appears deadlocked in key battleground states.

I have some thoughts if this pans out. So check back in a few days.

Anyway, in a couple of days, we'll be back to TV ads being from sleazy ambulance chasers, sleazier Medicare Advantage insurers, and home-improvement ripoff artists.

  1. Could be just me, but I think we're seeing a tectonic shift in the electorate as women now have pretty much nothing to lose.Even if Iowa stays R an 11 point shift should raise a few eyebrows. Rs are running out of opportunities for a course change, and may already be so far gone that they don't see the need for one. interesting times..

I'm getting a pretty good vibe about NC. Alison canvassed with Walz last week when he was here.

  3. The Economist has a prediction model that they update daily. It will take a landslide to destroy this evil and it will be done by the female of the species if it is done https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DlnP1gcoZhM

  4. Seems MAGAs have a hard time pronouncing Ms Harris’ name. Ka MA la. KAM la. KA ma la. They should just make it easier on themselves. Just call her Madam President.

I'll enjoy watching the shuffling of deck chairs as the T****tanic goes down and Donold blames everyone else and election fraud for his failures and political demise.

Back to court Donny! Watcha gonna do when they come for you?.......

  6. As far as the ads go I would rather see no more of the constant political ads especially the Republican ones that got more truth twisting than the corn syrup candy twisting done at the Twizzlers factory. More stretching than in an old rubber band filled golf ball. Actually reached the point where I didn't even watch local news anymore because of the four or five ads between a few minutes news.

  7. I'm ignoring the polls for my own mental health. No prophesying here, but I expect to win it. And then starts the ugliest legal battle of our entire country's history. He will fight it tooth and nail, and with their trying to rig the electoral vote ahead of time, he has a good chance of stealing the election. That's what keeps me up at night. We win it, and he steals it, not impossible. Here's hoping we kneecap the fucker.

    1. The best solution is that Harris wins, Trump starts to act up and then Biden locks him up as "an official act of the President". Providing the TOFF with security should be easy at ADX Florence. Or Gitmo.

  8. I'd vote for Gitmo, especially if they have a golf course there?

  9. Tomorrow I wait for the results. Not holding my breath. By this time
tomorrow we will have the general picture and a few hours more the
results may be known. Hopefully without the wailing and gnashing
    of teeth.

The one thing I can say is we shall see.

    Eck!

  10. MVP has built a coalition from AOC to Dick Cheney. TOFF has built one from Elon Musk to Franklin Graham. I know where I'd rather be. Definitely taking your advice. It's a news free day. My daily listening is already queued up. First, Radical Face, some Bear's Den, Kevin Devine, Manchester Orchestra, The Airborne Toxic Event, James, and finishing up with Augustines. That should get me to bedtime.
