Christopher Miller, who led the Pentagon during the chaotic closure of Trump’s tenure in Washington, detailed his vision for [making the ASVAB mandatory for high school graduation] and a range of other changes as part of Project 2025, the conservative Heritage Foundation’s aspirational government-wide game plan should the presumptive Republican nominee return to the White House. Though Trump has not publicly endorsed its policy proposals, Miller is among a cluster of influential former administration officials and GOP lawmakers who have mused aloud about a national service mandate and other measures to remedy what they see as a “crisis” facing the all-volunteer military.
We'll see how that goes, when their presumptive nominee, Commandante Bone Spurs, had a dad who allegedly bribed a podiatrist to claim the TOFF had bone spurs to get him out of the Vietnam War, who told his kids after 9-11 that if they enlisted, they'd be disowned and has repeatedly called those who served this country "suckers" and "losers" (including George H.W. Bush).
Any Republican/keyboard kommando who is in favor of this and who either didn't serve or didn't send their kids to serve in a war zone should be tied to a post and pelted with half-bricks, which would be offered to anyone with a DD214, a military ID card, a military dependent card, or a Gold Star family member.
As a veteran, I most assuredly agree
