I let my membership lapse five years ago in disgust at the corrupt fuckery of Wany LaPierre and his many cronies. But in reading here and here, it seems that some real changes are underway.
So I'm back in, for a year. If things progress, I'll renew. If not, I'll drop it, again.
We shall see.

ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of things that still need to be addressed, such as why they have a board that is far larger than major corporations. But I wanted to see changes, not perfection.

ReplyDeleteI quit after the shooting of Philando Castile resulted in crickets from the NRA. When the NRA decides that cops shooting legally-armed black men is a bad thing, maybe I'll reconsider.
