Your Sunday Morning Prop Noise

A Vickers Vimy.

This particular airplane is a replica. It flew the Atlantic in 2005 to recreate the first ever nonstop flight across the Atlantic.

  1. IIRC it was at Oshkosh in the early 2000's. I don't remember it having that jet like takeoff performance though. Hopefully they were paid by the hour for the Atlantic crossing.

  2. Thanks for posting this, fascinating aircraft. Looks like it needs continuous full power (and quite a bit *landing*) with all that drag.

A longer video of flying, including aloft: [youtube playlist](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEqcxuh3iHw&list=PLQrMOH5G0hbLV6wV6PHFUtB0e4ssuyGfx&index=3)
