Allies of Hungary’s far-right prime minister Viktor Orbán will hold a closed-door meeting with Republicans in Washington to push for an end to US military support for Ukraine, the Guardian has learned.
Members of the Hungarian Institute of International Affairs and staff from the Hungarian embassy in Washington will on Monday begin a two-day event hosted by the conservative Heritage Foundation thinktank.

A diplomatic source close to the Hungarian embassy said: “Orbán is confident that the Ukraine aid will not pass in Congress. That is why he is trying to block assistance from the EU as well.”
Fascists and appeasers, all of them. But that's to be expected, I suppose. The Republicans were in favor of supporting Nazi Germany right up to the day that Hitler declared war on the U.S. And the Hungarians were allied with the Nazis.
Nothing seems to have changed in over the last eighty years. The Republicans always have the backs of dictators and fascist regimes. And the Hungarians are as despicable and untrustworthy now as they were then. Hungary is part of NATO and the EU, but they are a fifth column supporting the Russians.
It begins to look like the old Soviet subversion techniques only failed in the Cold War because the Russians were fishing with the wrong bait.
ReplyDeleteOnce the Russians swapped out the Marxism in favor of White Nationalism, the subversion techniques began working all too well.
They'd like to help but owning the Libs is simply too important.
