More Bullshit From Mayor Adams

Shortly after winning the Democratic mayoral primary in 2021, Adams reached out to Daniel Nigro, the New York City fire commissioner at the time, encouraging him to let Turkish government officials use the building, which had not yet opened because fire department officials had refused to sign off on the safety of its occupancy, sources told The New York Times.
...
Adams said in a statement Sunday via campaign spokesperson Evan Thies that part of his role as Brooklyn Borough President was to "notify government agencies of issues on behalf of constituents and constituencies."

The government of Turkey is a "constituent"? Does anybody even remotely buy that horseshit? Even if one wants to stretch the definition of "constitutent" to include "foreign government making illegal campaign contributions", the building in question is in Manhattan, which would hardly be a concern of a Brooklyn Borough President.

Pay no attention to the stench emanating from Gracie Mansion.

  1. Any publicity is good publicity right? And the Toff will need a new headquarters in NY. Him subleasing from Erdogan would just make good financial sense.

  2. Well, Menendez already had the Egyptian money sewed up for NJ, so Turkey seemed a good idea for NY.
