ReplyDeleteSomething weird happens to the upper classes when it comes to anti-Semitism. He went to boarding schools as a kid, growing up alongside other upper-income teens. At some point, those prep kids must get it into their heads that "the Jews" are a danger to their wealth/status and it gets ingrained into their adulthood.
ReplyDeleteIt's the only thing that makes sense to me. I went to public high school, alongside Jews and Blacks and Latinos - and in my case, Greek Orthodox kids as a special clique - and I never got indoctrinated into that anti-Semitic crap.
