Your Sunday Morning Jet Noise

Something wrong about flying this bird outside of the range of London..



It's a 3/4th-scale model, so it should be shot down by a Mk.26 Spitfire.

  4. Years ago I was doing a research tour of the Utah Test and Training Range, west of Salt Lake City, in an Army helicopter. We flew from the northern part of the range over I-80, headed for Dugway Proving Ground to refuel. As we passed over I-80, I looked down and there about 100 yards or so south of the freeway was a complete V-1, lying in the salt mud. You can't see it from the highway (I've looked) but there it was. After the war the US got a lot of V-1s and sent some to the UTTR to shoot them off. You can find pieces of them lying all over the place on the test range.
