I like 3" revolvers. They seem to occupy a nice compromise between portability (for concealment) and shootability. And Pythons are nice guns.
But at 42 ounces (unloaded)? That's pretty frakking heavy. If you're going to tote a heavy gun, a 1911 is around 35oz and nobody has ever said that a full-size 1911 is a light gun. (A fully-loaded 1911 is about 42oz and that gets you eight rounds of G-d's Own Caliber.)
If, however, you just gotta have a Python and a 3" gun fits your stable nicely, then rock on.
