The Denver suburb of Aurora has agreed to pay $15 million to settle a lawsuit brought by the parents of Elijah McClain, a Black man who died after suburban Denver police stopped him on the street and put him in a neck hold two years ago, the city and family attorneys announced Friday.
The five involved in killing Mr. McClain were finally indicted for manslaughter and other offenses.
So, tax dollars vindicate murder by cops.
ReplyDeleteI'm not saying the family shouldn't have it. Just that the cops got off; again.
They may have insurance to cover it.
ReplyDeleteBut I know of a place where there have been so many cases that the jurisdiction's insurer stopped covering the cops for their actions.
