Once Again, DHS Puts Its Thumb on the Scales to Help Trump

In early July the Department of Homeland Security withheld publication of an intelligence bulletin warning law enforcement agencies of a Russian scheme to promote “allegations about the poor mental health” of former Vice President Joe Biden, according to internal emails and a draft of the document obtained by ABC News.
Why didn't they release it? Seems that ol' Chad Wolfe didn't like that the bulletin said that the Russians were helping Trump:
In a statement to ABC News, a DHS spokesperson confirmed that the product was “delayed,” explaining that it failed to meet the agency’s standards.
In other words, the bulletin didn't make Donald "the Moscow Muppet" Trump look good.

You know, Trump claims to be the candidate of law and order. But to have law, there has to be the rule of law, something that Trump and Bill Barr have actively been working to undermine, with giving Trump's allies a pass on breaking the law and attempting aggressively to use the Department of Justice and Federal cops as Trump's goon squads.

Everybody laughed when Sarah Palin said that, as president, the DoJ would be her defense counsels. it's no longer funny.

  1. We don't need "The Russians" to tell us that Biden is past it, mentally. He shows it nearly every time he talks.

  2. B,

In trumpworld everyday is opposite day. He tells lies and we are
supposed to believe them. After more than 20000 lies the truth is
    not what he says.

Me I see it either his projection of his insanity or maybe his
fear of Biden being a brain trust in his mind.

Either way Drumpf is a desperate conman trying to lie his way out
of his own inability to accomplish anything that is not destructive.

Beside the Russians own him, he is Putin's poodle.

The rethuglicans will self destruct, maybe someday a new conservative
party will emerge that isn't hell bent for self immolation.

  3. B, Trump promised the coronavirus would be gone by April, and that it was a hoax. Who did you say was showing signs of senility, again?

  4. B, it's not Biden who is blathering about planeloads of guys in black uniforms.

  5. Biden's decline is not so obvious but his foot-in-mouth-disease is similar to my 93 year old daddy's creeping aphasia. Daddy can't come up with the noun so everything is 'that thing', 'the other thing'. It's 'she', 'him' and 'them' because he can't come up with names.
Trump's aphasia, simplified and childish wording and sentence structure, and loss of vocabulary towers over Joe's gaffes. It is always projection week at this white house so as trump's mind deliqueses he accuses Biden of his own weakness, failure, treason, decline and corruption.
Plus, Biden seems like he will take advise from wise people whereas trump takes no advice at all except from nazis like Miller and jailbird Bannon. Ideally Joe serves 4 years and then steps down for President Harris, not my choice (ex-cop writ large) but maybe good for the ticket.

  6. Biden has had a profound stutter since he was a child. That does still affect his speech fluency. A stutter does not, in fact, preclude one from working at a professional level.
In rehab from my stroke, my speech pathologist had a far more profound stutter than even what Biden had as a child, and she was the very picture of professionalism, and I owe a lot of my recovery to her.

  7. The bigge thing is what I remember, Biden likely due to his stutter,
always even more than 20 years ago had those gaffs. Drumpf they
    are bad and getting worse.

Drumpf speech patterns were a afar back childish and not
typically adult in structure or language used. Some like
his unfiltered comments but that is not the same thing as
lies added to outright rude and crude behaviour.

Stutter is a speech pathology only, despite its audible
evidence the speaker is often very intelligent and careful
in thought and does not exhibit any of those affects when
writing. Most people learn to control it. I see it as not
a limiting thing save for knowing those like drumpf that
look down on others who have likely worked harder and
    better.

Drumpf sees a perceived weakness and as the bully he
tries to exploit it. Shame and foul on drumpf.
