In short, they only believe in democracy if the people who are in charge are white. If the choice is between a dictatorship with a white person in charge, say, Donald Trump, or a democracy with a non-white person at the top, say, Kamala Harris, they'll set fire to the Constitution and go with a dictator.
Which means that, for all intents and purposes, those people are not true Americans. True American citizens are loyal to the Constitution and the government it outlines. To say that they'll vote to trash the Constitution because a Black or brown person may win is chilling.
To a lot of Republicans, it seems that V-E Day is a day of mourning, for to them, we fought on the wrong side.
