ReplyDeleteI get what your saying about the gun handling but I find trap shooters the worst and they're out every week .
I have a list of people that I will not shoot with .
On the up side , they did come out to the range . Encourage them to come out more often even if it's only 3 or 4 visits in the fall .

Glenn, I can't offer a very big sample size but I have to go along. I went to the grand opening of a trap/skeet range in Southern Cal years ago, discharged less than half a dozen shells and walked off the position in an ugly scene. Never went back.
ReplyDeleteI have friends who have had horses and cows shot on opening weekend, and as an off road motorcyclist, I used to stick to the Far-West land on the Northern peninsula of Humboldt Bay just to be safe.
ReplyDeleteLast time I went out on opening weekend was when I was 17, and walked over the top and down the other side of South Fork Mountain. Didn't get anything, but had a good day anyway. Passed a herd of 100+ does heading for higher ground close enough that I could have touched them with the barrel of my .243.
