Because It's Friday

Alaska RR #557

This restoration isn't an in-house deal, so the video ends with a funding appeal.

  2. Steam locomotives... I love'm!! Very interesting facts about Alaska during WWII. On another note, I recomend the film THE TRAIN by John Frankenheimer, with Burt Lancaster doing his own stunts. It was filmed in 1964 (black & White) and all colisions, bombardments & derailing is done with real french trains (SNCF), plus many tetails about how the pistons conect with the driving wheels, how they oil & how they cast & replaced the bronce metals, how the rails were conected to the sleepers... one if the best train movies!! Based on the art looting from Françe by germans, when they were loosing the war.
