I Heard a Rumor, Bark Bark, Woof, Woof

Just one year after coming so close, one year after she was favored to win, Rumor returned, and captured the highest honor in her sport.

The German shepherd won Best in Show at the 141st Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden, one year after falling short to CJ, a German shorthaired pointer, in the same competition.
They need to update the categories. "Jogging dog group", "Crack house guarding group" and so on.

(Inspiration for the title.)

  1. Part of the problem with the AKC is they don't care a hoot what a dog does, how intelligent it is, whether it can sniff out a cop in a crackhouse, or a crackhead in a cop house for that matter, or even if it can catch a frisbee or knows the names of its toys. All they care about is bearing, coat, and other meaningless markers. That may be one reason why those gorgeous Irish Setters have had the brains bred out of them, and why Basset Hounds have ears that drag on the ground. Did I mention Poodles with cancer and numerous breeds with hip displasia?

    Yours crankily,
