"Sometimes in the heat of debate and speaking on a multitude of issues, you don't choose the right words or you say the wrong thing. I have done that," the GOP nominee, reading from prepared text, said at a rally in Charlotte, N.C. Thursday night. "And believe it or not, I regret it - and I do regret it - particularly where it may have caused personal pain."*Tweet* Flag on the play- 100% Bullshit.
Trump regrets nothing. That's his personality. He not only stood by every hateful thing that he's said over the last year, but whenever questioned about it, he doubled down on them, both in his spoken remarks and on Twitter.
Another clue he doesn't believe a word that he's saying: He read his so-called regrets from a prepared statement. In order to try to come across as a decent human being, he had to use a Teleprompter.
This is like putting a wedding dress on a pig.
But if he really wanted to make a fresh start, he can begin by kicking some unregistered foreign agents out of this campaign.
UPDATE: Manafort is out. Rick Gates, not so much.
Manafort is out! Mabye Feds will indict.
ReplyDeleteI read that Manafort failed to file FARA papers for his firm's Ukrainian involvement. The article said that FARA is loosely enforced, but law nonetheless, and the high-profile nature of his involvement (read that recent press coverage) made him somewhat likely to be indicted. Or I think that's what they said, anyway, I don't really know anything much about FARA, just for the record.
