"The assessment is, as the [consent decree] agreement currently stands, it will cost more to implement the agreement than it would be to fight it in a lawsuit,” [Ferguson Mayor James] Knowles said Wednesday. What Mayor McDumbass doesn't realize is that they could lose and have to pay both costs. If their lawyer didn't make that abundantly clear, then they need to hire a new one.
What they're really doing is rolling the dice on the election and hoping that a GOP president will make the problem go away.
Why would a GOP president make it go away? What would he gain?
ReplyDeleteProbably nothing, the outrage of scotching such a case would not be tiny. But the mayor of Ferguson is probably stupid enough to think that a Republican president would be immune to the blowback from such a move.
ReplyDeleteElect ME president at a Republican. I'd let that mayor twist in the wind.
