Thank you SO much for this. As a child in Germany in the early 60's, radio shows were the entertainment in the long nights alone with my mother while my father was on duty. I recall them fondly. And this one, magnificent....I had relatives who flew in WWII, and the father-in-law I never met flew B-17s out of England. So, this story hit a trifecta of perfection for the season for me, since my long dead father-in-law HAS haunt/visited our home. The scent of his flying jacket has been known to pervade the rooms of the house....and his cigarettes in a house where nobody smokes.
