Cry Me a River, Employment Edition

New York State Appellate Court Judge James McGuire said he will soon quit working as a judge so he can find a job that pays more than the $144,000 he now earns.

Oooh, he can't make it on $144K/year? Poor bay-bee. How my heart bleeds for him.

Cry me a motherfucking river of tears.

  1. Wow, well, like so many others I've come across, I'm sure he feels he's earned it and deserves it. And maybe he has, but a little perspective and common sense would be nice. Humility should be a desired trait with someone in his position.

  2. From the article, it sounds like he's good at what he does, and that he puts a lot of work into it. He probably earn more elsewhere, particularly if he wasn't too choosy about who he represented.

Still, I find it hard to feel sorry for him. Between him and his wife, he's making good money, even for someone living in NYC. There are plenty of people there earning far less.

  3. He should feel what life is really like. You know like coming up for funds for the power company.
Ahh he probably sucks anyway because he may lack empathy.
