A Republican With a Yacht Problem

If you recall how the conservatives were oh, so outraged at the fact that John Kerry was docking his yacht in Newport, RI, then you would think that you would find conservatives railing at Tom Foley, the Republican candidate for CT governor. It seems that Foley has a large yacht, 116' in length, that he not only doesn't dock in Connecticut, he has it registered in another country under what one might call "a flag of convenience".

But I bet that you will have to travel go far and wide before you will find a conservative who is outraged by this.

For even more fun, someone needs to explain to the Family Values types the meaning of the yacht's name.

  2. A tad bit of misogyny gave rise to that name for his boat, I think.

  3. Apropos of nothing, Foley's 116 foot yacht's two engines, combined, only produce 1200 horsepower. I am surprised a boat that big can even move with that little power.
