Finally, Not Only a Medal for the Dead

This has not happened since the Vietnam War: A living soldier will be awarded the Medal of Honor.

About frigging time. The track record of the George Bush Wars that "only the dead qualify for the MOH" has been lamentable. I do not know why the DoD felt it necessary to turn the MOH into a corpse-only award; there are probably at least a few soldiers and Marines who were awarded the Silver Star who should have been considered for a MOH.
